Travelling has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My passion for travelling began from a young age enjoying family holidays and dreaming of adventures throughout my childhood.

I studied Business Management and Marketing at university where I met my husband Mathew who also shares my passion to travel! I thoroughly enjoyed my degree, studying and exploring in the dynamic city of Manchester. I graduated with a 1st class honours on a project directly linked to the tourism marketing of my home town of Nottingham (home of Robin Hood). I was also extremely lucky at university as part of my course included a placement year where I got to work and live in Orlando, Florida. I was employed at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Studios, Florida. Following from this I got to further fulfil my love of travel by taking a gap year exploring Asia, Australia and New Zealand. It is in New Zealand my university boyfriend and now husband proposed. We now reside in Nottingham, UK with two boys 8 and 6.

After having my 1st child I decided to take a new direction and follow my dream of being a Teacher.  Whilst my youngest son was still a baby I studied for the teaching training skills tests and also volunteered in schools to build up my experience. After qualifying as a Teacher I have been teaching in a variety of settings as well as private tutoring. I also discovered a passion for inclusion and working with SEN children as part of my role as a Teacher.

Our aim is to create a blog of family travel and teaching related experiences. I believe the importance of learning outside the classroom should never be underestimated. I hope to inspire learning and travel ideas, to suit a range of budgets not only local to the UK, but also worldwide!
